We had such an amazing stay at the Best Kept Secret! Fortunately for us, once we were there the secrets were shared. David was a wealth of information and provided not only practical advice but also the history and stories of the area. Liza’s hospitality and breakfasts made the experience perfect. Thank you.

We loved staying at the Best Kept Secret b and b. It’s such a beautiful Victorian house, spacious, thoughtfully provisioned, and so well located. The beds were really comfortable and it was fun for the kids to have a murphy bed. It was great to have such a well equipped kitchen too. Eliza is a wonderful host! Thank you!

This was our first B & B experience stateside and unfortunately it was WAY ABOVE our expectations! I say unfortunately because the bar has been set very high for any other future B & B visits. Eliza and David are some of the friendliest people we’ve met in a while, very accommodating and knowledgeable of the area. The house is amazing, beautiful decor, the Boudoir room was cozy and bed comfy. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, almost too much, and very fancy. Thank you very much for making our short stay so memorable!! We’ll be back.

A last minute decision to overnight in Glenwood Springs enroute to CA from Chicago via Amtrak turned out to be a very memorable mini vacation with Eliza and David at their wonderful B&B. David picked me up at the Amtrak station even though it is only a few short blocks from the B&B. After orienting me to some of the local attractions and general layout of the town, we arrived at their sweet abode. It is within a short walking or biking distance to the hot springs and downtown. Oh, did I mention that David made sure that one of the bikes was ready for me the next morning for my outing, complete with lock and key. He even drove me to the trailhead. All of this after the most delicious and beautifully presented breakfast [edible flowers from their gorgeous garden on the fruit plate] My room and bathroom were immaculate and private. With so much to see and do in Glenwood Springs it could easily be a 4 season destination. The trip through the mountains is breathtaking. Highly recommend this B&B as the place to stay in any season. Eliza and David, Thank You so much !

Good Egg Award
Best Kept Secret B&B offered and delivered on what one looks for:
– LOCATION~~~within walking distance of most all of Glenwood Springs offerings including nearby restaurants, the springs, post office, theater almost next door, shopping.

-COMFORTABLE SPACES WITH ATMOSPHERE~~~ inside, the 100 year old cottage has updates of air conditioning while shaded porch and outdoor areas offered peaceful spots to read and enjoy all the beautiful flowers and bubbling fountain. Cleanliness [spotless!] with the luxury of quality linens for bed and bath were provided with many other available amenities.

-BREAKFAST~~~each of the three days we were there was delicious, alternating between savory and sweet servings using farm fresh eggs and fruit. Really good coffee, too. Each day the breakfast table was set with different china, silver, stemware, and linens. That was fun to see.

-HOSTS~~~ Eliza and David were gracious, friendly, and helpful with guidance on local sights/events, maps and guides to parks, and history of the area. This was most helpful for us as first time visitors to the area.

This place was a treat and needs to be other’s Best Kept Secret…shhhh…pass the word and enjoy.

We were so very impressed with this beautiful bed and breakfast! We have never stayed at a more quaint and hospitable inn. Not only was this place conveniently located in the heart of town (within walking distance to everything) but it was nicely appointed and the innkeepers made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Breakfast was fresh, healthy, and tasted amazing!

Do yourself a favor and visit the Best Kept Secret in Glenwood!

Just returned home from our weekend at The Best Kept Secret B&B. We had a wonderful visit to Glenwood Springs thanks to our informative hostess Liza. She shared information on activities and dining that helped us plan our time there. We also enjoyed the very generous breakfasts she prepared each morning. It was a perfect weekend.

Denver, Colorado October 1, 2010 at 9:12 pm

This was our first time staying at a B&B and you set the bar extremely high. We don’t know what we like more, David’s stories or the fruit plates! The two of you made our experience in Glenwood that much more cherished.

Reno, Nevada October 1, 2010 at 9:08 pm

Not only did we discover a gem of a little city in this beautiful valley, but we found the “icing on the cake” at your lovely home.

Glenwood Springs was the third official leg of our traveling road show, and it very well may become our first repeat after we’ve conquered the Western Hemisphere! Thanks so much for everything. The BBG’s

Kings Lynn, England September 11, 2010 at 5:38 pm

Thank you for making us feel so welcome. We have really enjoyed our stay even though it has been for such a short time. David’s knowledge of the area provided us with a terrific introduction that sets the scene so well and Liza’s breakfasts are the perfect strart to the day. On top of that your home has so much character. This is the very essence of what we think a good B & B should be. Thank you once again.
